Welcome to my website, my name is Edgar Garcia. I am a certified Personal Trainer with over 10 years of experience and almost 20 years of weight training experience. I have also competed in numerous Natural Bodybuilding Contest (drug free) at a national level.
I created this website for the men and women who have commited themselves in doing bodybuilding the drug free way. In order to stay healthy and to live productive lives, drug free is the way to do it. Please do not think that this website is for bodybuilders only, men and women with big muscular bodies. This website is for you. I use the term bodybuilding loosely. Meaning if you are weight training, power lifting, or just lifting weights to build muscles, gain weight, lose weight, or to change your appearance, then I consider you my friend, a bodybuilder.
You've probably been to a lot of bodybuilding websites and have read numerous books and magazines. You hope to enrich your knowledge and develop wisdom from the training principles that they recommend and even incorporate it into your own training routine. But, you probably know by now that there is a lot of information on this particular topic. You probably have also noticed that different authors tend to recommend different training routines. If you were like me in the past, you're probably confused because of all the different information on how to approach proper training. I'm no different from them. You be the judge though as whether or not my approach is more sound than the rest. You can do several things with the information I provide: accept it, dimiss it, or modify it to suit your needs. What you do with it is up to you. I won't debate you if you disagree. Most of the information you read here comes from my own personal experience, experience from my clients and from the different books I've read.
THE FOUNDATION

As a Natural Bodybuilder there are 3 Things that you must keep in mind when it comes to achieving your goal:
1. Training
2. Nutrition
3. Recuperation
I often refer to these 3 Things as the Trinity of Natural Bodybuilding. You can not have one without the other. In order for you, as a drug free bodybuilder to progress, you must emphasize all 3 of them equally and as a whole. Sort of like the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit in a Christian sense.

In my last contest I went up against two heavy weights, I'm happy to say that I won.
In order for your muscles to become stronger and to grow, you must first stimulate them sufficiently through proper weight training. Then step out from training in order to rest and recuperate to take place. Recuperation means spending ample amount of time away from training. Allowing your stimulated muscles and your body's system to fully recover and be ready for the next training session. Recuperation allows your muscles to adapt by becoming stronger and to increase in size. Besides training and recuperation, you must eat a balance nutrition diet with proper amounts of Carbohydrate, Protien, Fat, and good amount of Vitamins and Minerals. These are the raw materials that your body needs in order for progress to take place and to fuel your workouts. The amount of Calories or Kcal. is crucial because you need Kcal. to train, recuperate, grow, and get stronger.
