How I Came to Write this Book
I came about writing this fiction book because of my late grandmother who I love very dearly. She was a good and upright lady with a big heart. Unfornately, she never had a good life and the love she deserved. When she passed away I was deeply moved by the irony she lived through all her life. The main character in this story is based on her persona. So yes, I poured out my heart's emotions in this book which I believe will move and inspire you. I can personally tell you that this book is very different from any fiction book that you have read before.
Synopsis
Apo, who lives in the Philippines, was called by her handicapped veteran son in America to come and live with him and his wife. Upon arriving in America, she finds herself in a quest to save her son from himself and his marriage. Seeing the hopelessness in her quest, she vows to do whatever she can for him, even to the point of sacrificing going back home to her beloved country.
Jeg and his family are later called by Apo's son to come and live with them. Jeg, an energetic and imaginative young boy, is excited to see America and to be reunited with his grandmother. He later finds that America is not what he fantasized it to be. Their life in America is a constant struggle that in later years will result in Jeg trying to help his grandmother return to her homeland before it is too late.

I'm at the channel 18 TV studio promoting my book along with my beautiful wife and the love of my life, Adriana.
I would like to Thank Jannelle So of "Kababayan Network" for Interviewing on Feb. 26, 2008 for her TV program in order to talk about my fiction book, "Apo."
